Before you can take part in a clinical trial, you will always have a medical screening first. During this appointment, we check whether you meet the conditions to participate. Below you can read how to best prepare.
First, you will have an information session with the physician, where you can ask any questions about the trial. If everything is clear and agreed, you will sign the Information and Consent Form together. After that, the medical screening begins.
During the screening, several standard checks will be carried out, such as:
Blood and urine tests
Measuring your blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight
An electrocardiogram (ECG)
Sometimes other tests, such as a lung function test
A short conversation about your health, medication use, and lifestyle
Carefully read the information you received by mail and write down any questions you want to ask during the appointment.
Fill in the medical questionnaire and sign the consent form for your general practitioner. Bring both documents with you to the appointment.
Follow the rules that apply to the screening. You can find these in the Information and Consent Form.
Bring a valid ID to the appointment.
